In the world of banking, our founder, Engy Bassem Nour was a numbers wizard, armed with a
Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC). But after 9
years of crunching figures, she had an epiphany. 💡
As her own family blossomed, so did her aspirations. The corporate world no longer held her heart.
She yearned for something more. With determination that could move mountains, Engy left her secure
job and dared to embrace her lifelong passion.

Ever since then (December, 2020), numbers took the backseat in Engy

taking the wheel ever since then, empowering Engy to craft her own fashion legacy through Pose.

In a world brimming with businesses, why did Engy choose fashion? Wasn’t the market already
saturated? Well, when Engy embarked on her journey with Pose, she had a different vision in mind.
She wasn’t here to create “just another fashion brand” – quite the opposite! Let’

childhood…
As a young girl, Engy was that determined kid who insisted on picking her own outfits. She wouldn

anyone else to craft her own style for her. So, since day 1, fashion was more than just fabric for her – it
was her playground for self-expression, her artistic sanctuary!
Not just that, but she was head over heels in love with fashion. She was a dedicated viewer of endless
fashion videos and magazines, always keeping a close eye on the happenings of the fashion world.
But as she grew up, a stark realization set in.
The fashion market was turning into a sea of “
sameness
”. Everything seemed to blend into a monotonous
blur, and her search for vibrant colors, art, and creativity was unsuccessful. That’s why Engy decided it
was time to take matters into her own hands and break free from the
