Handbag essentials, the 2021 edition

Time’s are ever changing nowadays. COVID-19 changed almost everything from our daily lives to how we maneuver about. Here’s a list of what I try to carry in my bag day to day.

  • COVID and hygiene essentials:
  • Masks

Always keep extras with you. It’s healthier to change your mask every four hours, and you might need to give one to a friend.

  • Mask holder

Give your ears a break. It might not be the fanciest look but it’s practical.

  • Alcohol

Stay safe, sanitize surfaces around you and protect yourself. You can never be too cautious.

  • Hand sanitizer

It’s more gentle on your skin than pure alcohol and is as effective.

  • Beauty essentials:
  • Hair brush and extra hair ties.

It’s nice to always be prepared. Maybe you feel like putting your hair up or just want to freshen your look.

  • Lip balm and moisturizer

Consistency is key. Your lips and skin will thank you, trust me.

  • Makeup

If that’s your thing, keep your makeup bag with you. Or a travel size version of your favorite products.

  • Sunblock

Once again, consistency is key and your skin will thank you for protecting it.

  • Safety pins
  • Needle and thread

Quick unexpected fixes will have you thankful you kept these two with you.

  • Electronics: These are pretty self explanatory
  • Phone
  • Charger
  • Earphones
  • Power bank
  • Miscellaneous essentials: A bag isn’t a bag without these
  • Keys
  • Wallet
  • Pen and paper

At the end of the day, what’s in your bag is up to you but these are my thoughts on it. What do you keep in your bag?
